Google praises consultant who quadrupled conversion 03/02/2010 Google has praised one of its optimiser authorised consultants who recently improved conversion rates on Voices.com.
Google has taken the time to single out praise for one of its website optimiser authorised consultants who recently reported how he improved a website's conversion rate by over 17 percentage points.

Writing on the company's analytics blog, Trevor Claiborne said that the team was delighted when one of its consultants revealed that the conversion rate of website Voices.com had "recently quadrupled".

The consultant, working for Conversion Rate Experts, recently revealed that the conversion rates at Voices.com were improved by over 400 per cent after his company studied their analytics account, looked at competitor websites and attempted to understand the mindset of consumers.

He noted that such research allowed a host of changes to be made - including the segmentation of customers and the implementation of demonstration videos. This played a leading role in helping conversion more than quadruple.

David Ciccarelli, chief executive officer of Voices.com, noted that the process was both a "fascinating and profitable experience".

Earlier this week, Mark Brohan, writing for Internet Retailer, highlighted how split testing showed how visitors to client website Scentiments.com were more likely to make purchases following some straightforward cosmetic design changes.
