Google Analytics can 'show strength of advertising campaigns' 02/02/2010 Are you using Google Analytics to judge the strength of advertising campaigns? One expert thinks you should be doing just that.
Google Analytics can help you to see if your advertising budget is proving profitable, according to an expert.

The free-to-use tool can work in conjunction with your AdWords account, allowing e-marketers to calculate where their traffic streams are coming from.

Lucy Griffiths, writing for the Impact Media SEO Blog, says that Google Analytics can allow you to "separate the traffic you are paying to visit your site from the remainder of your traffic".

This, she adds, will allow website owners to work out whether their "advertising budget is converting to profit".

Ms Griffiths suggests that this knowledge allows e-marketers to see how visitors clicking to their website through AdWords are behaving, providing the opportunity to make future advertising campaigns more relevant and effective.

Last week, Direct Traffic Media blogger Lily Townsend said that web analytics makes it so easy to judge the return on investment of internet advertising campaigns, that many e-marketers were ignoring other platforms. ADNFCR-2626-ID-19591437-ADNFCR
