Custom reports from Google Analytics aid Shoes of Prey 01/02/2011 Online retailer Shoes of Prey has revealed that it has used a custom report from Google Analytics to help it identify the most important pages on its site in terms of conversions.
In a bid to improve conversion rates, Shoes of Prey - an online retailer that allows customers to design their own footwear - has created a custom report using Google Analytics.

Writing on the Google Conversion Room blog, co-founder of the business Michael Fox, explained that the aim of analysing the website in this way is to identify which pages are most important in the conversion process.

He noted that this has enabled them to focus on improving content on these pages and promoting them more effectively across the rest of the site.

"Knowing our most influential pages has helped us maximise the number of purchases we generate through our website," Mr Fox commented.

He went on to add that the advantage of using such a custom report is the number of insights it provides into the performance of a website.

Shoes of Prey was launched in October 2009 and after five months, the site was generating an average of 150,000 unique visitors each month.
