Estate agents looking to improve the conversion rates for their websites have been given some advice by an expert.

Tricia Andreassen, a real estate brand strategy expert, has given some guidance to businesses looking to up their game online.

To improve conversion rates, she suggests that companies should have email follow-up campaigns in place in order to "incubate" the visitor once they reach the search process. Furthermore, she advises that there should be consistency between online and online marketing, adding that this "will provide amazing results".

Other advice for making websites better includes ensuring it is search engine optimised and also keeping it updated at least every six months.

Ms Andreassen adds: "Your website should reach out and connect with the mindset of today's home buyers and home sellers. It's important to understand that it’s not just about doing general marketing.

"It's about having a targeted niche in real estate and then having your market message support that niche."

An estate agents looking to improve their websites may want to conduct A/B tests to find the best page layouts.
