Checkout optimisation boosts conversion rates for Avanquest
07/03/2011
Avanquest has seen conversion rates increase by over 20 per cent after optimising its checkout process.
Software developer and retailer Avanquest has revealed that it experienced a significant increase in conversion rates after working with a specialist organisation to optimise its checkout process.
UpClick is also providing emarketing solutions and powering online transactions for the ecommerce site.
Since carrying out UpClick's recommendations, Avanquest has been able to improve conversion rates by 21 per cent.
A/B testing helped to determine the best checkout design and since its implementation it has reduced levels of basket abandonment as well as boosting conversions.
Multivariate testing and numerous other optimisation techniques will be used to ensure the continued success of the retailer.
Phil Schnyder, director of online business development at Avanquest, commented: "We benefit not only from their ecommerce technology, but also from their online marketing expertise."
He added that his firm has "much more planned for the future" and aims to develop the site further.
The company explained that it turned to UpClick after its own attempts to improve the checkout process proved unsuccessful.
