Who leads the design for your current website?

Perhaps it was driven by the marketing function or maybe an outside design agency? The chances are the design was based on 'opinion' and 'intuition' with limited regard to science. The web design process should not start with a blank piece of paper but with insight.

Our approach to design starts by understanding the behaviour of visitors to your existing website.

We review search and analytics data to learn what is working and equally what has not worked.

Here's how the design process at Push works

  1. Review search data:
    What terms are driving people to your current site? For example if you sell baby skincare products and find that a large number of people are coming to your site under terms like ‘nappy rash’ you might want to think about whether or not you should have a dedicated nappy rash section.
  2. Review Analytics data:
    Which pages have relatively high bounce rates? These pages should be prioritised in the design process.
  3. Complete Push Design Brief:
    Identify Personas LINK to Persona creation page and their likely reasons for visiting your site. (Persona Goals).
  4. Build wireframe:
    Agree site layout and navigation with client.
