A/B Testing (Split testing)
Who influences the design of the website?
More often than not it will be influenced by designers, marketers and inevitably by the top management team in your organisation. In reality the most successful designs should be driven by your customers.
A/B testing allows you to do this, ensuring that you quickly get to the most successful page design to get the results you need.
Web design requires making choices between a variety of possible alternatives. In making the final choice, most marketers frankly rely on their gut instinct or intuition. We call this guessing and we think such an unscientific approach to marketing is flawed.![]()

Use A/B Testing to improve conversion rates – best one wins.
- A/B testing pitches one version of a page against another.
- We use a tried and trusted approach to test simple alternatives, such as the position of a ‘buy now’ button, the colour of a call to action Call to Action: An object on a page such as a button or graphic that demands the user to take an action. or the size of a product shot.
- We normally test two variations against the main page but it is possible to test more to meet a clients specific requirements.
